Years ago, what has come to be known simply throughout the Midwest as The Rave, was something more than just a place to catch concerts. Formerly known as the Eagle's Club, The Rave was a high-end men's club complete with pool, racquetball courts, exercise facility, etc. So many years later, the same venue can be seen surrounded by metal-heads, country music fans as well as a hip-hoppers on the same night as The Rave hosts multiple genres of music at once.
Being one of the largest multi-room venues for music and events in the city, The Rave is a fully functional locale that is the setting for some of the biggest names in music including everyone from Coldplay to Robert Plant to Garbage and Tesla. Having four places to house bands is an upside for The Rave and its' attendees since there's something for everyone.

THE RAVE/EAGLES CLUB
The Rave is the main room for mid-sized bands playing on tour making a stop in Milwaukee. The size is perfect for bands such as Ministry, Garbage, Sevendust and Orgy where the sound remains intense yet isn't lost in the crevices of larger rooms.
THE RAVE BAR
The Rave Bar is a fitting area for local acts or bands that want to keep close with a club-type atmosphere where the room is more intimate. Bands playing The Rave Bar usually have the ability to interact with their fans and be close enough to see expressions on faces when songs are played.
THE EAGLES II
The newest of the rooms to open within the monstrous building is the Eagles II. The Eagles II is the old setting for the bowling alley inside of the Eagles Club. The Eagles II is in fact the housing for most of the bass-heavy shows by Bad Boy Bill, DJ Funk among others. Although the acoustics of this space aren't exactly the most pleasing, it stands to be the most viable place to check out a DJ set with enough room to dance without the pretentiousness of trendy clubs where image is everything. The Eagles II is all about the music and more bands are playing the room these days.
THE EAGLES BALLROOM
Lastly, the Eagles Ballroom is the enormous space where dances were held, as well as boxing matches, etc. Nowadays, sporting events are still held there in addition to the large bands that have graced the room like: Kid Rock, Bush, Nelly Furtado, Wu-Tang Clan and so many more. Easily the largest space without entering amphitheaters or convention centers in the area where great acts play hard and make it seem so easy.
Overall, The Rave is the premier spot for bands. Whether it's a gig you're trying to set up for your own band or a show you want to check out. All rooms equipped with full bars make The Rave the place to be for bands. The only words of caution are to always have enough spending money as The Rave does not take credit cards at its bars, merchandise tables, nor does it have an ATM!Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
