ATMOSPHERE
Though Vic’s is adjacent to a strip mall, that’s about as close as the two get. Vic’s is pure class, featuring elegant dining in rich, vibrant dining rooms. The tables are immaculately made up and adorned with fresh bread and olive oil next to candle light. The rooms’ walls are lined with sconces, bring warm light to the ceiling where some very well played out “domes” are painted in and lit expertly. The wait staff is phenomenal and clad in black and white, capping off an out of this world experience before you even take a bite!
CROWD
Vic’s includes, but is not limited to Families out celebrating, business diners, romantic dates (both young and old), and just about anybody in between. It’s like being out with your family, but without the drama.
ENTERTAINMENT
Vic’s does throw an occasional party and will sometimes have a live band in house, but that’s usually tucked away in their bar, leaving the dining areas cozy and quiet, with just the right hint of Frank, Dean, Tony, and the gang drifting out over you. Check their website for more up to the minute updates.
SPIRITS
With an absolutely fabulous wine list, Vic’s could just stop there. But they have a complete bar to order from as well as some nice beer choices. Somebody will happily suggest something if you are unable to come up with it yourself.
GRUB
I have some advice: Wear loose pants. The portions are massive. The best part is that they aren’t trying to substitute quantity for quality; you get the whole hog here. Beautiful and well thought out pasta creations as well as old standards carry their own weight and then some, while the menu is spiced up with a bounty of Seafood, Chops, and Steaks. Their steaks are amazing and can be individualized with a choice of crusts, rubs, and toppings (and each comes with a side of some sort, sometimes two). Seriously, think about splitting a couple of entrée’s and even then, plan on having some left over for the next day.
PRICES
You’d think this whole package would cost an arm and a leg. Some comparable restaurants would easily rack up $50-100 per person and up. Think around $75 for dinner for two, including wine. This place is out of this world and reasonable to boot. Don’t get me wrong though, you can rack up a nice tab, but you’d be getting more than your money’s worth.
WHY IT'S UNIQUE
Vic’s is everything that you would expect to find in a fine dining atmosphere, but without the attitude or the price. It manages to avoid the typical suburban schmaltz and “frou-frou” attitude while maintaining a superior menu and affordable prices. Molto Bene!
