Looking for some great pizza by the slice in the Chicago area that you haven't tried yet? Here are some recommendations. Check these places out. You can thank me later.

Geppetto's Pizza and Pasta
113 N. Oak Park Ave.
Oak Park
708.386.9200
Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday

If you asked Alice Cooper what his favorite Chicago hot spot to get a slice of Chicago-famous pizza was, he would say Geppetto's. The small Oak Park (15 minutes from downtown) restaurant offers some of the best homemade Italian specialty dishes the city has to offer, but for those of searching for a quick slice to cure the craving, Geppetto's also has ready to order pizza slices for around $3 (add some toppings and your wallet can push $4, but it's definitely worth it). If you are adventurous, you can order two, but the on gigantic slice of pie will do for most - especially the lunch crowd. If you have more than just a few minutes to hang around, Geppetto's also has one of the best salad bars in the entire city. Not too shabby for a small downtown Oak Park restaurant.

Nano's Pizza
5906 W. Lincoln Ave.
Morton Grove, IL 60053
847.967.9700

Nano's is simply awesome! This longtime establishment offers hands down the best quality and quantity for the price! Grab a slice at Nano's and you won't go home hungry, plus it's only 3 bucks! Can you believe that!? You seriously won't want to miss this place. Nano's is worth the drive from the city for their homemade pizza alone but don't forget to try out their other menu items, all fantastic.

Pie Eyed Pizzeria
1111 W. Chicago Ave.
Chicago, IL 60622
312.CHEESE.5
Hours: 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 5 a.m. Friday; 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday; 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday
www.pie-eyedpizzeria.com

Damn this is good pizza! Fresh Ingredients, Fresh Crust, Fresh Sauce, Real Cheese. Nice offerings of toppings too. This has to be the best pizza by the slice in the city. Thick Pieces at only 3.15 each won't break your bank and won't leave your stomach empty. Just a quick stop off of the blue line, and 5 minutes out of downtown make this the perfect stop after a night of drinking, plus they are open when you want them to be, late at night when you're drunk.

Pizza Metro
1707 W. Division
773.278.1753
Hours: 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday; noon to 1 a.m. Sunday
www.pizzametro.com

Pizza metro wins the award for the best crust, a flaky, buttery concoction soo good that it must be evil. Best news yet, each slice is made fresh for you with a host of interesting toppings. My favorite is the Potato rosemary with chicken but the “Garbage” (everything) is also good. Even better is the fact that Pizza metro isn't far from the Division Bar scene in Wicker Park. Nothing goes better with being drunk than a good slice of pizza.

Art of Pizza
3033 N. Ashland
773.327.5600
Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Now here's the stuff, CHICAGO DEEP DISH! The Best Deep Dish Pie in the City of Chicago, and what's better is that you can get it by the slice. It is sooo good and cheesy and crusty and saucy and…Sorry, I was having a moment there… Seriously, this is the classic Chicago pizza available to you in convenient slice form, delicious fresh made slices for only about 5 bucks. If you like it thick, You can not go wrong with Art of Pizza.
