So you're making the hour-plus trip from Chicago to Milwaukee to hit Summerfest. You're smart, you know it's the best music festival in the Midwest. Problem is, what do you do after the fest? Where will you eat? What else is cool to do in brew city?

Lumino Magazine has done the leg work for you. Below are some recommendations of places to hit in Milwaukee. They vary greatly, so check them out. Each is linked to Lumino's full review!

At Random
2501 S. Delaware St.

At Random, located at 2501 S. Delaware St. in Milwaukee, serves only specialty drinks. The menu proudly boasts “No beer or wine,” and the place is pretty much an all-around classy joint. Read the full review

Café LuLu
2265 South Howell Ave.
(414) 294-LuLu

Step up to the establishment or take it home with you, but overall, Café LuLu is that South Side Milwaukee stop that is mandatory for those in search of an eclectic scene offering up some of the best sustenance, spirits and style you’re likely to find in quite a long time. Read the full review

Lake Park Bistro
3133 E Newberry Blvd.
(414) 962-6300

Fortunately for Milwaukee, a true bistro exists, and its prime location makes it one of the truly glorious experiences. Read the full review

Lixx Custard and Juice Bar
2597 N. Downer Ave.
(414) 332-3338

Lixx’s variety is second-to-none. They not only serve some of the creamiest custard I’ve ever had, but feature well-thought-out flavors that go beyond the classic chocolate and vanilla. Read the full review

Mo's - A Place for Steaks
720 N. Plankinton Ave.
(414) 272-0720

And, if the taste of a freshly grilled filet mignon had any significance, Mo’s certainly lives up to its name. Read the full review

Node Café
1504. E. North Ave.
(414) 431-9278

The Node Café does not serve alcohol, but instead, good coffee - which is a really handy thing at two thirty in the morning when you have just been kicked out of the bar and need to sober up before going home. Read the full review

Onopa Brewing Company
735 E. Center St.
(414) 264-3630

I can't quite put my finger on the x-factor that makes Onopa Brewing Company so appealing, but it definitely possesses that relaxing, laid-back quality along with good beer, food and entertainment that I look for in a local bar. Read the full review

Palomino
2491 S. Superior St.
(414) 747-1007

Overlooking the picturesque greenery of a park in Milwaukee's Bay View area, Palomino also commands a sublime view of Lake Michigan and the boat entrance from the South Shore Marina. Read the full review

Real Chili
Real Chili screams of ancient tradition and legendary chili, which calls for mad respect for their 70+ years of slingin’ meat, noodles and beans to Milwaukeeans. Read the full review

Safe House
779 N. Front St.
(414) 271-2007

Secretly hidden inside the "International Exports Ltd." building on Front Street, in downtown Milwaukee, the Safe House is an exceedingly popular spy-themed restaurant/night spot that has been a part of the great city since 1966, when it first began opening its secret doors to hungry and thirsty agents wandering the downtown streets. Sake Tumi
714 N. Milwaukee St.
(414) 224-7253

Sake Tumi is a great addition to Milwaukee Street: no longer will sushi-thirsty downtown Milwaukeeans have to trek to Prospect or Farwell to get their fix. Sake Tumi would be a great way to start a Friday night tour of Milwaukee Street. Read the full review

Three
722 N. Milwaukee St.
(414) 225-0003

Even though Milwaukee doesn’t have top dance spots like Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, the club scene is OK, and has been made better with the help of Three, a downtown Milwaukee club that features an intimate setting for you to boogie, grind, swirl, or whatever, with your partner of choice. Tracks Tavern and Grille
1020 E. Locust St.
(414) 562-2020

The great draw here is that Tracks feels local and friendly, like your corner bar, even if you live miles away. It is definitely a worthy change of pace from the Water Street and North Avenue scenes. That, and reverse happy hour from 10 p.m. to close. Read the full review
