For fans of Kill Hannah, Lollapalooza was the perfect event. At 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, they watched their band perform on the BMI stage and then still had time to see Gnarls Barkley, Common, The Flaming Lips, The Dresden Dolls, Thievery Corporation and Kanye West. Not too shabby!

Lollapalooza

For Kill Hannah, Lollapalooza was their chance to welcome themselves back to Chicago - as the band had been away from their hometown since April. And with songs from their new album, “Until There's Nothing Left of Us,” released Aug. 1, the band had plenty of tunes to offer Lollapalooza-goers for their 45-minute set.

Unfortunately, the BMI stage is small and the area is cramped. With many fans piling in to check out their local favorite, having a limited view of the stage was not the best ending. But, Kill Hannah rocked the stage, as they usually do, jamming out new and old tunes while thanking Chicago after nearly every song - paying homage to the city that made them what they are today.

Kill Hannah succeeded by making the most of their quick show. For fans who missed Kill Hannah's performance at Lollapalooza, the band will be back soon, performing Aug. 19 at Dirty Nellies in Palatine.
