Rest easy, Star Wars fans. Do your homework, Star Wars newbies."Episode III" Revenge of the Sith" is the best Star Wars film since 1983. If you haven't seen it yet, go tonight!

I, like most 20-something males, once was a Star Wars nerd. I don"t know the names of the engines on an Imperial Star Destroyer, but I can point one out. I've read some of the side-story books and have cracked open the Star Wars encyclopedia. I had the toys. But like most of my kin, the prequel "Episode I – The Phantom Menace" was a huge letdown. I've watched it again only for the story. I end up forcing myself to like it. I really don't. "Episode II: Attack of the Clones" was a breath of fresh air. At least there was action. I voluntarily have watched it a few extra times since its release.

Directed and written by George Lucas
Starring Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Ian McDiarmid
Rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and some intense images
After tons of fan and critic ridicule for his Episode I and II prequels, George Lucas finally got one right. "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" had a great action-filled beginning, and I can't tell you how much improved Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) looked. He finally seemed older, powerful, and of course in this episode, menacing. Though his performance was still wooden, at least he had the look of a Jedi.

Without delving into the plot, this film is where everything goes down. Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader. The Emperor is revealed. Luke and Leia are born and hidden. All but a few Jedi are killed. The Empire that we see dominating the galaxy in the original 1977 Star Wars movie is born.

For my fellow Star Wars nerds, nearly every question you have going into the movie will be answered. George Lucas & Co. have been on your message boards and have given at least a line of dialogue to most every concern and plot hole imaginable.

It's too bad we had to bear Episodes I and II before "Revenge of the Sith." They left a bad taste in many mouths, especially for those not totally into Star Wars. Fans had to convince others the films were good. No convincing will be needed this time.
