With a field full of hip-hop, alternative, punk and soft rock, it is still nice to see some of the hard rockers like Ryan Adams on the Lollapalooza bill. Even though the sporadic attitude of the rocker makes some fans leery of his staying power, Adams was able to stay calm and connected to his music as he served as the perfect afternoon dishing of true rock 'n' roll.

It was also nice to see an eclectic set of rock 'n' roll from Adams. He touched on both his rock and country talents, playing a solid mix of tunes spanning his career. Adams also paid patronage to rock greats like the Grateful Dead by adding a few covers to his set.
In the last year, Adams has been semi quiet in the news, other than being linked to Lindsay Lohan. After releasing three albums in 2005, Adams used Lollapalooza as a way to regain some momentum in the industry and reconnect with fans who have been craving more from him.
For his set, Adams shined and succeeded in building some momentum for his upcoming September European tour. Many of the fans seemed satisfied with his long, drawn-out guitar solos and jam sessions throughout the hour-long set. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
