ATMOSPHERE

Don't expect candles on the tables or a list of exquisite wines, as it's an unassuming hotdog joint complete with the mural of an Italian kitchen. While inside it's usually easiest to tell how long you've lingered by how many times CLTV news has played or replayed on the TV. If there are spots available grab a booth and sip some RC while waiting for your fare.

CROWD

Gaze around a bit more and you'll see a cross-section of Westchester and the surrounding areas. With sporadic office spaces in the surrounding areas you'll often find the suit crowd wandering in for a quick lunch as the line to order stretches towards the door around noon. It's not collar exclusive, however, so don't be surprised to see any of the hard-working folks who live in the surrounding areas, especially local law enforcement.

GRUB

The piece of menu which really sets this place apart is the Italian beefs. Where most places would offer a beef and a double beef, Paul's boasts a beef and a half beef. This is made possible by the sizable eleven inch sandwiches offered here. Don't pigeon-hole the menu to dogs and beefs, however, peruse it further and you'll find a wide array of pasta, salad, and side items.

PRICES

You'd be surprised how far a few bucks will go here. For a couple of first timers I'd suggest splitting a beef and a heap of fries, which will set you back under seven bucks.

WHY IT'S UNIQUE

Paul's Pizza and Hotdog is local gem with a loyal group of regulars. Stop by for lunch and say hello to Paul himself who's always ready to take your order and linger to chat with friends or enjoy an ice cream cone.
