The essence of the contents of every closet really depends directly on the owner of that wardrobe. Some people tend to keep up with the trendy hoopla provided to consumers from fashion magazines and A-List celebrities. Others tend to keep more in tune with the classic ideas of sophistication and monochromatic items. Either way there are many simple tips that can help jazz up any clothing collection.
One of the main things to keep in mind with fashion is the individual needs to feel comfortable with what they are wearing. A large glitzy necklace would be not necessarily be the best choice for a jeans and t-shirt type of girl. Accessories can be however an obvious answer to any fashion boredom and the most efficient way to spice things up.
These are my top five suggestions to liven up your look:
1. Shoes - A person can be wearing only black, but add a pair of sexy gold pumps and the outfit has hit new levels. It is okay to not match you purse, belt, and shoes. Find a unique pair of shoes that will match your outfit, but get a pair that will also stand out. Why wear only the pointy toed black pumps all the girls at the office and club will have on?
2. Necklaces - From long and draping to short and chunky every woman can find a necklace they fall in love with. My suggestion would be to find one necklace you love and make it your signature. Find something versatile, that can be paired with other necklaces and you are golden — literally perhaps!
3. Belts - They are, first off, useful. (Especially for those girls still wearing butt crack jeans). Secondly there is such a large variety of belt styles, from buckles to sparkles, that they can totally change an outfit's look. Also you can get creative and use sashes, ties, scarves, etc. This rule goes for men or women.
4. Purse/Tote - Instead of having the latest Coach or Louis bag, having a large variety of cute bags to pick from is nice. (I know, I love my Coach bag too, but they hardly can be considered rare anymore). My suggestion would be go to Nordstrom, who sells a brand called LuLu. LuLu always has purses that fit the newest trends for about $35 a pop. They range from day bags to club purses. The specific trend will most likely be gone in a season, but at least you have not broken the bank in your pursuit to fit in.
5. Hats - Now, not all hats are okay for everyone to wear. The thing is that hats do in general add a certain personality to an outfit. Modern trilbies are my personal favorite and look sexy on men or women. Note though I am not advocating baseball caps or trucker hats as ways to spice up an outfit. Both are rather casual and trucker hats have seen their season.
Even the barest closet can have you looking exceptional when you walk into the club. It is all about the items you choose to team together and accessories you use to pull it together. So the next time you feel like you have nothing to wear, do not go out and buy an entirely new outfit. Wear what you have, paired with pants or a skirt you wouldn’t matched it with. Add a unique pair of shoes or a purse that you know you will get compliments on and is unique not just trendy. Add belts for guys and a sexy hat to make the women want look into the eyes under the mysterious rim. Now go out and be sexy!
