For nearly 20 years, the Northside Bar & Grill has been the ideal spot in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood for a mid-afternoon pint, a late night with friends or a pleasant game of pool. More importantly, the Northside offers a comfortable atmosphere, well-suited to winding down after a long work week.

ATMOSPHERE

A front bar sets the tone for the Northside experience-comfortable with a ski lodge/pub-style vibe. The backroom offers pool, a jukebox and video games. Additional seating and a second bar are located in the large patio, enclosed during the winter months (although always sunny).

CROWD

The Northside attracts a more varied patronage than your average Wicker Park haunt. Young professionals mix effortlessly with local artists and spirited sports fans (college and pro games shine from every monitor in the house).

SPIRITS

Drink specials run from Sunday through Thursday, and there is always a beer of the month for $3. If you are a cocktail connoisseur be sure to check out the Northside's excellent martini list.

GRUB

Comfort food is de rigour at the Northside. Try the Black Bean Chicken Chili served with tortilla chips or the Mini-cheeseburger with fries or chips-both are served up quick and hot.

PRICES

Appetizers run between $4-$9. Entrees are $6-$15. Desserts are $4. Drink prices are reasonable ($3 and up).
