Come help the animals by attending an art show opening. A self-described “artist driven – art activism organization” that will feature the work of twelve Chicago-based artists. There will be plenty of focus brought to pet shops and puppy mills, rescue and adoption, shelters, animal cruelty, and other animal topics. A silent auction runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and there’s a fantastic raffle grand prize of a 1 night stay at any Kimpton Hotel, which is a $400 value. One-hundred percent of the silent auction, as well as portions of the raffle tickets and artwork sold, will be donated to the Tree House Animal Foundation. You can also attend the cat adoption at the Tree House on Saturday, May 5 from 12 to 3 p.m. www.treehouseanimal.org.
