NYCO might have members formerly from New York and Colorado but don’t get fooled, they're all Chicago. They are already a favorite on the airwaves of WXRT and we are lucky as an elf to have them on our bill.

What is the band’s connection to Chicago?

The two founding members were in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, one from Colorado and one from New York. NYCO represents both New York and Chicago, but the band calls Chicago home.

Describe your sound and name?

The band has influences that range from Brit Pop to R & B and soul. NYCO's music is smart pop with an edge.

What can we expect from your live show?

High energy, low fat.

What is your favorite Chicago venue?

The Metro.

Where do you hope to take the band in the future?

To the racetrack.

this band rules, but that guitar player is a dork!! he's out of the band i think.
