Lumino's "Jingle Your Bells" Day 2 a smash Print E-mail

Lumino Magazine's "Jingle Your Bells" second night featured some of Chicago's hottest up-and-coming local talent, as well as a cherished local favorite on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Opening the night was Five Minutes In, a band featuring Lumino's blogger Matt D., who performed some favorite covers, including some great Dave Matthews Band renditions. Following them was the young band, Villains of Verona, a band quickly gaining steam on the Chicago music scene.

Then a musical treat, featuring a song called "50 Cent is a Pussy", blasted over the sound system lead by Nice Peter. As a musician guided by his comedy, Nice Peter even improved a song about Eddie the Bathroom guy, to which he was presented by a bottle of Champaign by Eddie himself.

Bon Jovi Soldier Field openers Stellar Road then took the stage for an acoustic session that included the help of a cello. And Lollapalooza featured band the Musical Outfits rocked the house before the festival's feature act and closing headliner took the stage.

In front of a jammed house, Local H's frontman Scott Lucas played a mix of solo acoustic and then several songs featuring a backing band to close out Lumino Magazine's first "Jingle Your Bells".

For the second straight night, Chicago comedian and Lumino columnist Dustin White MC'd the evening.
