This week we mark the 27th year of the Taste of Chicago, a festival like no other in the world. Sure, there are imitators, but only the City of Big Shoulders could support a party this good.
Featuring some of the best food from around Chicago and her sprawling surroundings, The Taste brings more than just good eats to the table. There’s an amazing concert schedule packed with top performers from a potpourri of genres as well as rides, prizes, cooking demos
, big screen movies and on and on and on. The Taste certainly has something everyone.
And the fireworks! How can I forget the fireworks! As if the food wasn’t going to be poppin’ enough for you, the fireworks on July 3rd (featuring a concert from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra) is not something to miss. Bring blankets or chairs and stake out your place on the field to celebrate the God Ol’ US of A by blowing stuff up.
I don’t know how it could get much better than this, booze, chow, and fun in Chicago’s Front Yard, with the lake at your back and the sun on your face, The Taste is the place to be!
