What can be said about Patti Smith? She’s been around quite awhile and the demographics of her audience showed that. While there were quite a few people of the younger generation in attendance, there were also quite a few Baby Boomers hanging out, too. And they were rocking just like everyone else, shouting “Yeah, Patti!” whenever they got a chance.

Smith took the stage in a pretty unpretentious way and she continued the show in the same manner. Dressed in a wide-brimmed hat, a t-shirt it seemed she designed herself with the help of a Sharpie marker, and other somewhat drab clothes, Smith seemed to prefer the audience focus on the music and not on her appearance.
Her usual feminist-oriented singsong-y speech style was in attendance and fans seemed to be digging it throughout her show. There weren’t any lightshows; there wasn’t any funky antics; it was just Patti Smith and her voice and fans, from the way they were cheering for her, didn’t seem to be disappointed at all in the performance she gave them.
