ATMOSPHERE

Business casual to formal; the idea is to have fun. The decor is bursting with color. In the main dining room you sit under large red and yellow lanterns hanging from a ceiling that mimics the dance floor from Saturday Night Fever. Giant mirrors lean against the walls, and curtains are draped in front of the entrances to the private party rooms on both the main and second floor. The Latin music will have you shaking while you eat.

CROWD

The large dinner crowd here combines those romantics looking for a fun night out, families and friends celebrating, and business groups. Nothing is dull in this restaurant; while there isn’t a set dress code, glamming yourself up will make you feel at home with the bold Carnivale style

SPIRITS

CARNIVALE offers a fantastic list of wines served by the glass or by bottle; ask your waiter to help you make a selection that will pair well with your entree. A full bar can fulfill any need, but you cannot go wrong with an out of this world Mojito.

GRUB

Its as colorful as the dining room! The flavors are so succulent; lime, cilantro, chile, garlic, onions, and last but not least the chimichurri sauce. Ask a server for daily specials that are always sure to please. I like to start with guacamole with freshly cooked tortilla chips, and an empanada. My favorite dish is the arracherra, a marinated skirt steak served with rice and beans and sweet onions. Be sure to make room for dessert.

PRICES

CARNIVALE is a bit pricy, but you are getting your money’s worth out of it. Portions are not small The base cost is about thirty five to forty dollars per person and then factor in you alcoholic beverages and dessert. The lunch prices are slightly cheaper deriving mostly from the dinner menu.

WHY IT'S UNIQUE

CARNIVALE is a touch South America right here in Chicago, a party you won’t want to miss, with flavors to keep you coming back for more.
