Celebrating with all the gusto of a State Fair; Wing Fest 2008 will feature live music, all the wings you can eat, Beer, raffles, and of course WXRT's own Lin Brehmer. There will be wing eating competitions; though not for the faint of heart, these are serious challenges. To earn top honors, each restaurant may enter two of the four categories: hot, mild, barbeque and exotic, judging to be handled by randomly selected patrons. There will be winners in each category, but only the restaurant with the highest overall score is awarded the cup.
Plus it’s all for a great cause, this year Chicago Neighbors United (a community based organization which provides educational scholarships to inner city youth) will be the beneficiary of Wing Fest, which has raised over $100,000 for various charities. All this and more, for the low price of $24, available through Ticket Master.
