Make sure to check out Columbia College’s all day end of school celebration this Friday. Called “Manifest,” this once a year extravaganza showcases the work of Columbia College students and alumni. Events include the Spectacle Fortuna, a parade of giant puppets and other eclectic visual arts starting at 6:45 p.m. off of Balbo Drive and Washington Avenue. The big musical act of this week is, of course, The Cure. Playing this Saturday at the Allstate Arena these poster boys of 80’s emo rock will play some classics and hopefully debut some new tunes from their upcoming album. Arrive early the parking lot is going to fill up fast.
