"My name is Lady Gaga and I've got no money because I've spent it all on my show, but tonight Windy City, I feel beautiful and dirty rich," the new Pop Diva proclaimed early on in her set at Chicago’s House of Blues. The singer songwriter from Yonkers, proved she was not only deserving of the recent hype, but was already too big for the 1500 person capacity venue before she even hit the stage. Tonight Gaga ruled for an evening of two sold-out shows in one night.

The House of Blues was transformed into a neo ‘80s European dance club spectacular that was pure candy to the eyes and ears. Stefani Joanna Angelina Germanotta better known to the world as Lady Gaga, didn’t perform a concert as much as deliver a full on musical experience. Taking a note from Andy Warhol’s book, the show opened and continued through the evening with a series of short little film vignettes with titles like “The Brain” and “The Face”. The girl’s got showmanship, style and the one thing you won’t be at a Lady Gaga show is bored.

Backed by DJ Space Cowboy, Gaga sang and danced her half naked self through almost a dozen of her modern disco tracks, to a satisfied crowd that sweated and sang along to every one of them. Opening up with “Paparazzi” from her debut album The Fame, Gaga set the tone for an evening of dramatic musical sexy fun. With each costume change, the 23-year old performer proved she had no need to add pants to her attire and spent the evening teasing us as she shook her tight ass all over the HOB stage.

Still, if there was any question of her being just another hot bubble gum pop star, Gaga would proved the naysayers wrong tonight. Coming out in a costume of what appeared to be of all things – bubbles, she sat down at a neon glowing piano to perform a series of strip down tunes. With only herself and the ivory keys, Gaga changed the tone briefly to a cabaret like vibe. “What the hell do you need me for?” Gaga proclaims in jest after “Pokerface” is almost lost within the sea of voices as the crowd belted out the lyrics. “Future Love” completes the piano interlude, as she sings along to a transparent mannequin on stage complete with some assistance by her right stiletto wearing foot. Proving if she wanted to change her style, she could easily give Tori Amos or Regina Spektor a run for their money.

The House of Blues was soon rocking out again as Gaga made another clothing change and still sans pants, for the Nelly Furtado tinged hit “Just Dance.” The floors were literally shaking as the Pop Diva, wearing yellow MIA-like sunglasses and a sexy purple dress - complete with horned like shoulder pads, pranced around the stage singing the hit dance track. After taking a quick bow with the band, Gaga and the gang were soon back for a 2-song encore that included “Boys Boys Boys” and the album sounding version of “Pokerface,”

Lady Gaga has proven she doesn’t need to write songs for any pop star other then herself. In turn, Gaga has shown she is as much of a talent at creating pop hooks as she is dancing on stage to choreographed dance steps. She may be a hot piece of ass but that ass has got some strong talent to back it up as well. It will be fun to see where this sexy musical temptress will push the envelope next.
