Years later he gets out and is again coming to the aid of the now 19 year-old Nancy (Jessica Alba) whom is now working as a stripper. Can he step it up one more time and be the hero for Nancy?
“The Hard Goodbye” finds a night of lovemaking with a stranger go horribly wrong when Marv (Mickey Rourke) awakes to the beautiful corpse of Goldie (Jaime King). As he hears the sirens quickly approaching it is obvious he has been set up. After a brutal but successful escape, he turns to the only person he knows Lucille (Carla Gugino) his sexy lesbian parole officer. She tries to talk him out of revenge with no success. Marv finds himself drinking at Kadie’s Bar and eventually shaking down two hitmen and a corrupt priest (Frank Miller). In turn, the priest reveals to him that the Roark Family is responsible for poor Goldie’s murder. After killing the priest he is shot by a woman that looks suspiciously like Goldie. Is Marv having hallucinations because he is behind on his meds? Can he finally be the long arm of justice for his poor Goldie or will he just die in the gutter like the many nameless face before him?
“The Big Fat Kill” focuses on barmaid Shellie (Brittany Murphy) who works at the nightclub Kadie’s Bar that Nancy strips. Shellie is being harassed by her former abusive boyfriend Jackie Boy (Benicio del Toro). Her current boyfriend Dwight (Clive Owen) can not take it and teaches him a lesson. Later he tails Jackie Boy to Old Town and wathes himself and his gang of friends barking off more than they can chew when they harass a series of prostitutes.
