Seth MacFarlane is one of the luckiest people in the world. He is the highest paid television writers today with his success of his animated comedies Family Guy, American Dad and the new spinoff The Cleveland Show. However, not so long ago his life could have taken a totally different path. If it wasn’t for reruns on Comedy Central’s Adult Swim and the success of Family Guy on DVD he may have disappeared into obscurity. None the less here he is living the Hollywood dream and all the while making the world laugh. Last fall MacFarlane released a series of webisodes known as Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy on his own YouTube Channel. A weekly series that quickly became the most watched station hitting 3 million views after only two days of its launch. If you weren’t one of those viewers, you have a chance now to catch all twenty-two episodes plus a slew of unaired episodes now on beautiful HD with the recently released Blu-ray disc.

Much in the same way as the short cutaway sequences in every Family Guy episode, Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy are a series of quick gags that are setup to shock and overall make you laugh your ass off. All of these are available (some for the first time) uncensored and showcase the twisted humor we have come to know and love by MacFarlane. The series consist of a total of fifty animated episodes and includes “Sex with Mr. Sulu”, “A Dog on The $25,000 Pyramid”, “A Scotsman Who Can't Watch a Movie Without Shouting at the Screen 1 & 2” and “Die, Sweet Roadrunner, Die” to name just a few.
Along with the episodes, we have the Red Carpet Premiere that is mostly a fluff piece that includes a few interviews at the premiere and gives you a chance to see the real life people connected to the voices. Character Models is a short feature that lets to click through a series of over 250 characters in various stages of development.
Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy is a no brainer for Family Guy fans and anyone who loves crude toilet humor. Animation in particular shines with HD and Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy looks all the better here.
