Dude, it's fuckin' hot. And tomorrow, it's supposed to be even worse. I have absolutely no idea how I am going to survive this weekend.
Being a part of the media does have its benefits though – such as getting this great bottled water for free, Smart Water. And, damn, that Smart Water was good. Of course, it could be because I was so overheated and thirsty, but I give props to whoever decided to name Smart Water the official water of Lollapalooza.
Also, Julie is dying on me. I am a true warrior – fighting the heat and managing to even dance a little to "I Predict a Riot." Hot damn.
3:22 at the Drive By Truckers show (Sunday)
Um, yeah, I'm going to have to ask you to cool down this heat a little. I just talked with another concertgoer who told me it's reading at 103 degrees. Yeah, that's unnecessary. Unfortunately, there are far less people here today than yesterday – probably a direct result of the heat.
I don't think I have ever been at an event, outside, in this type of heat – extreme global warming. The good news, is I am not the sweatiest guy here, in fact, far from it. I just saw a freakin' bear of a man with his shirt off dripping sweat as if he was a model of Niagara Falls. Yikes.
