The English singer and songwriter delighted fans early with the favorite “Sail Away.” As the crowd sang along, Gray seemed genuinely humbled by the crowd’s response. In trademark fashion, Gray bobbed his head back and forth during the many of his songs, eagerly summoning the crowd to join in during “World to Me.”
Throughout the night Gray showcased a variety of new songs from his latest album “Draw the Line,” including the masterful “Kathleen” which was one of the more powerful moments of the night. During the song, Gray’s versatility as an artist and ability to captivate his audience shined through. Midway through his set, Gray played a beautiful rendition of Babylon against a soft-lit stage and starry backdrop.
As the night came to a close, Gray played “The One I Love” from his album “Life in Slow Motion” which drew a thunderous response from fans. The four song encore solidified the evening, highlighting several songs from the songwriter’s career including “This Years Love,” a melancholy “Other Side,” “Nemesis” and a blissful “Please Forgive Me.”
