Lollapalooza, the colossal music festival in Chicago's Grant Park August 4-6, released the artist schedule for the three-day experience. This should allow festivalgoers to plan their Lolla weekend down to the last bratwurst and potty break.

Friday highlights include Ween, Death Cab for Cutie, and Panic! at the Disco; Saturday features Kanye West, Manu Chao, and the Flaming Lips; and Sunday boasts headliners Wilco and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In other urgent news, ticket prices for a three-day pass goes up to $150 this Friday afternoon. Until then, fans will still be able to snag one of the final handful of $140 passes.

More Lollapalooza News:

Lineup Additions: New additions to the talent list include Violent Femmes, Ben Kweller, Cold War Kids, Kill Hannah, Kelley Stoltz, and some surprise guests.

Last Band Standing: One of the most exciting talent additions is Lollapalooza's online band competition that will earn a lucky (and worthy) artist a slot at Lollapalooza. So far, at lollapalooza.com, more than 245,000 votes have been placed for more than 2,000 bands that have submitted mp3s and photos to Last Band Standing. The top 100make it to the final judging, which will feature celebrity deciders like Perry Farrell. The final five bands will face off in Chicago for a live play-off on August 2 at the Double Door.

Electronic/DJ stage: The ninth stage, for those counting, will ignite each evening at sundown. The attraction is the subject of many impassioned blogs, and Lollapalooza has added the element by popular demand. Talent will be released in the coming weeks.

Mindfield: Perry Farrell introduced Mindfeld to Lollapalooza and the world in 2003, to make the event, in his words, "the most interactive music festival in the world." This text messaging-based real-time game has grown into an on-site subculture, and to date has thousands of registered participants gearing up for show days. Players receive text message clues and tasks throughout the weekend in the form of flash mobs, eating competitions, signature canvassing, trivia, and more.

Players will also interact with characters embedded in Grant Park. Pranksters, as they are named, will involve unknowing patrons in planned activities in which the subjects must perform tasks the Pranskters demand. Gamers compete for prizes like backstage tours, VIP passes and more. In addition to interactive elements, the Mindfield stage will feature comedy with the legendary Second City troupe, short films, PlayStation gaming, and other activities.

Single-day tickets: Friday, June 23, a limited number of one-day tickets were made available for those unable to spend their entire weekend at Lollapalooza. Go to lollapalooza.com to purchase.

Lollapalooza originated as the brainchild of perpetual tastemaker and visionary Perry Farrell. The traveling festival took to the road in 1991 and broke new ground in the concert experience. Alumni such as Beck, Pearl Jam, and Green Day found a place to be heard by a hungry audience of alternative music fans. In 2005, producers Capital Sports& Entertainment and Charles Attal Presents reimagined Lollapalooza as a destination, experience-based festival along the lines of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which the two companies created and produce.
