Um, it’s about time!

One of the first albums I ever purchased was by the Pixies. I am a fan – along with a big pile of people at Lollapalooza.

The Pixies seemed to be the talk of the festival all Saturday afternoon. People were counting down the moments until they took the stage. Sure, they were excited to see the big name headliner of Weezer, but the Pixies were putting their stamp back on the music industry with their return on the Lolla grounds.

“I can’t wait to see them,” one concertgoer shouted. “I have been waiting for the Pixies to return, like, for, forever.”

It does seem like a long time, but when a band returns from “break” it makes it that much more exciting to hear them perform.

I know it’s not on the same level, but if blink-182 ever returns from hiatus, I think the response will be huge. Especially if they take a break for several years.

Pixies – thanks for entertaining us music fans for one more go-around!
