I feel compelled to give a mention to this great band – a band I didn’t really know much about prior to attending Lollapalooza – Drive By Truckers. These guys really jam out, hardcore.
And, as a music fan, I feel bad for not knowing much about these guys, but I guess that’s what Lollapalooza can do – turn on fans to new music. From Arcade Fire to the Kaiser Chiefs to Drive By Truckers, there were a ton of bands who increased their notoriety simply by rockin’ out.Brand awareness is so key in the music industry – and all industries for that matter. But, having an outlet for band’s to really create some spark is priceless. I bought DBT’s album immediately after the festival and loved it. And, I know bands like DBT are extremely grateful of the opportunity to play such a prestigious festival. This makes Lollapalooza work. This is what makes it such a great experience for everyone – fans, promoters, musicians,publicists. It’s just a feel good story. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
