Be prepared if you are a fan of the show and have fallen behind it’s time to announce “spoiler alert”!!
DISC ONE - The first episode is sad, Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), is diagnosed with cancer, George O’Malley (T.R. Knight), makes a decision to quit his job and join the army but tragedy strikes when he’s hit by a bus trying to save a young woman’s life. The newest edition to the cast Lexie Grey aka Little Grey (Chyler Leigh), turns out to be Meredith Grey’s (Ellen Pompeo) half sister. Meredith and Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), aka McDreamy get married and move in together. Christina Yang (Sandra Oh), starts a passionate relationship with the new surgeon Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), while Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez), confronts the chief Dr. Richard Webber (James Pickens), about a job promotion. Webber gets into a car accident and ends up at Mercy West Hospital where Torres found a new job. Yang and Hunt get closer as she attends a therapy session with him while Little Grey and Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane), start dating. Due to financial issues, Seattle Grace merges with Mercy West, which leaves everyone in fear of losing their job. The cancer has caused Izzie to loose her hair and take a leave from work but the merge pushes her to purchase a new wig and return to work earlier than expected. Torres starts dating Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw), the new head of pediatric surgery.
DISC TWO - Chief Webber is now in charge of both hospitals. The Mercy West employee’s invade Seattle Grace. The new residents of Mercy West are introduced and not given a warm welcome, which includes Dr. Reed Adamson(Nora Zehetner),Dr. Jackson Avery(Jesse Williams), whose grandfather is the famous Harper Avery, Dr. Charles Percy(Robert Baker), and Dr. April Kepner (Sarah Drew).Torres’s dad shows up with a priest in hopes of turning her away from the gay lifestyle, in which he disagrees with. Lizzie gets fired and writes her husband Alex Karev(Justin Chambers), a note and disappears. A patient dies and the entire staff is questioned to see what caused this tragedy. The finger is pointed to April, who is immediately fired. Derek takes a risk and performs surgery for Isaac, an employee at the hospital which upsets Chief Webber pushing him to fire Derek. Parents of a young boy contribute $25 million towards the hospital’s research, in order to save their son Wallace.
DISC THREE Izzie returns in hopes of getting help for her old high school teacher. Chief Webber’s wife shows up at the hospital and accuses Dr. Miranda Bailey(Chandra Wilson), of messing around with her husband. Izzie bumps into Alex and they continue to ignore one another. Things get stressful for Webber and he decides to take some time off. During the holiday’s Sloan gets the shock of his life when his 18 year old daughter shows up, and Bailey gets a visit from her dad as he questions her about the divorce. After Meredith spotted Webber drinking again, he starts giving her one on one surgery lessons. Hunt’s past love from the war Dr. Teddy Altman(Kim Raver), joins the staff as a cardiothoracic surgeon, which is Yang’s dream come true but she is unaware of the relationship Teddy and Hunt once shared. Sloan learns his daughter is pregnant and moves her in with him and Little Grey but the responsibility is too much for her to handle. Meredith confides in Derek about Webber’s drinking habits and the board makes him interim chief.
DISC FOUR - Bailey performs surgery in the O.R. but is scared when the patient wakes up during surgery. Sloan continues to ignore Lexie for leaving him. On Valentines Day, a restaurant roof collapses, sending dozens of people to the E.R. While all of this madness is taking place, Sloan’s daughter decides to leave without telling him. Derek gives Webber a chance to get his job back but only if he attends a rehab program. Webber is faced with making a hard decision that reflects his career. Bailey and Torres gives a lecture/speech to the hospital staff about their first experience at Seattle Grace, causing them to have flash backs. Things get more intensified when Lexie sleeps with Alex and Sloan starts sleeping with half the nurses in the hospital. Webber returns after rehab and reports to Derek until the board makes a final decision.
DISC FIVE - Sloan starts to feel lonely, while Bailey gets charmed by Ben Warren(Jason George), a anesthesiologist from Mercy West. After Bailey rejects him a few times, they finally go out on a date. Teddy and Sloan start sleeping around. Hunt begins to have flash backs from the war and it interferes with his job performance, so Derek sends him home. Alex’s brother shows up unexpected to get a diagnosis for a lump on his stomach Yang tries to convince Hunt to return to therapy but Teddy tries to give her advice on how to understand him. Torres wants kids but Arizona doesn’t feel the same way. Sloan’s daughter returns seeking help with her birth and giving the baby up for adoption.
DISC SIX - The last four episodes were probably the best. Each episode leaves you on the edge of your seat. Hunt asks Yang to move in with him while Sloan is caught making out with Reed. It gets better, Torres encourages Sloan to fight for Lexie but she confirms with Alex that they’re a couple. Meredith finds out she may be pregnant and a angry man enters the hospital searching for Derek but as he searches for him, all hell breaks loose and tragedy occurs. Some people live and others die in this awesome season finale. You must watch it to see what happens.
