Apples are good, but I love Orange Print E-mail

Buzz had already struck my ear before the first time I visited Orange for a Saturday morning breakfast, so, I was ready for a tasty experience worthy of my funds. And thankfully, my expectations were surpassed, as the casual chic restaurant successfully awarded me with a delicious breakfast that kept me craving it more and more.

Orange
3231 N. Clark St.
Chicago, IL 60657
(773) 549-4400
Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
ATMOSPHERE

Orange is a very cozy restaurant built very similarly to that of many Chicago coffee shops. As you dine, ease dropping on the table next to you, or the table next to them is simple, as everyone is very snuggly placed next to each other. The interior is stylish and warm - with the universal theme being, um, orange.

CROWD

If you read any other critic's review, you will probably recognize many similarities - like the great tastes, the solid wait staff, and unfortunately, the wait. No matter what time you arrive at Orange, you better pencil in at least 45 minutes of wait time, which isn't a bad thing at all as the second you put the first bite of food into your mouth you are instantly satisfied and will probably have forgotten about waiting to be seated. Also, there isn't much room to wait, so, expect to chill outside while the crowd simmas down!

SPIRITS

There is no alcohol, so, if you want it, bring your own because Orange is definitely supporters of BYOB. As for the non-alcoholic drinks - Orange rocks my world. When you are seated at your table, you are presented with an order sheet for freshly squeezed juice. You can have Orange / Grape / Carrot or Carrot / Pineapple - the point is you want it, you get it, and it tastes so damn good. And for those who need a spark of caffeine, try the orange flavored coffee.

GRUB

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why you come to Orange. The food tastes so good and I give it a 100 percent thumbs up. Before you order any breakfast food, make sure you order the Frushi (fruit sushi). No, there is no fish in the mixture of rise, but rather the fruits of the day neatly crafted into a piece of art that will make your belly smile. And then, for your main course after eating the Frushi and drinking the freshly squeezed juices, there are plenty of great options from a flight of pancakes to an incredible array of omelets to green eggs and ham (try it, Dr. Seuss will be proud).

PRICES

You will be pleasantly surprised that the prices match up with really any other chic breakfast hot spot in Chicago, even though I would rank Orange as No. 1. Your pocket books won't be damaged.

WHY IT'S UNIQUE

If the above hasn't convinced you, I've got nothing.
