Both soothingly minimal and boldly futuristic, Wicker Park's Rodan is one of Chicago's up-and-coming nightspots. The eatery is the perfect spot to check out the work of local video artists, hear classic northern soul and enjoy cocktails and great food.

ATMOSPHERE
Beautiful blonde woods interact with modern metallic designs in a long, comfortable room. A huge video screen in the rear nicely complements the large open windows up front. Be sure to check out the "video mirrors" in the restrooms, as well. CROWD Rodan attracts your typical Wicker Park crowd (artists/musicians/students), while catering to the adventurous from all over the city.
ENTERTAIMENT AND EVENTS
Be sure to stop in for a schedule of DJs, videos and special events. Things can be pretty low-key at Rodan, so prick up your ears for the word of mouth.
SPIRITS
Rodan offers a fine selection of beer and wine, although the expertly mixed martinis are the real high point.
GRUB
Rodan specializes in an exciting fusion of South American and Asian fare. Try the fish tacos, chicken dumplings or tasty seasoned fries if you are in the mood for simple foods that have been totally revolutionized.

A meal for two, including drinks and appetizers, will run you $60-$80.
