Pitchfork Music Festival Preview Print E-mail

Pitchfork once again commandeers Chicago’s Union Park (1501 W Randolph) for its annual music festival on July 15-July 17. This year’s line-up, uniformly strong and thrillingly eclectic, offers music on three stages (color coded blue, red and green). Lumino’s top picks are in bold below. As of press time, three day passes and single day tickets for Sunday were sold out, with limited tickets for Friday and Saturday still available for purchase. FRIDAY, JULY 15 – gates at 3pm

8:30 (GREEN) Animal Collective

Pitchfork Music Festival alums close out day one with sprawling, psychedelic soundscapes;

Lumino reported that the band’s 2008 headliner at P-Fork was “entrancing.”
