13. Donovan McNabb, 28 Print E-mail

Rush Limbaugh’s opinion to the contrary, Donovan McNabb has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this decade, and he’s only getting better.

Before last season, the Chicago native’s accomplishments had all been done without a standout wide receiver, and now his pairing with Terrell Owens is just unfair for everyone else.

D-Mac is more than just a good QB, though; he’s a cool cat. Nothing seems to rattle No. 5, either on the field or on the sideline. A couple of years ago, McNabb broke his leg on a play, and went on to finish the game and throw three touchdowns. And especially when you place him between the showy wideout T.O. and the possibly gay coach Andy Reid, McNabb’s subtle but effective ways make him just plain cool.

Only one thing could make McNabb any cooler: winning a Super Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles are on the verge of becoming a travesty. After making it to three straight NFC Championship games advancing to the Super Bowl, McNabb’s first Super Bowl appearance this year ended in a heartbreaking loss to New England. But McNabb is still young, and look for him to add a Super Bowl ring to one of his fingers before all is said and done.
