There is no denying the coolness of Jude Law. It’s omnipresent, like snow in winter. This year he stepped out of the shadows into a number of leading roles and it was recognized by the masses. He was named one of GQ magazine’s men of the year, not to mention the honor of being chosen as People Magazine’s sexiest man alive.
But what makes Jude Law cool is that he chooses not to coast by on his incredible looks. At the age of 32, he has already been nominated for two Academy Awards. He is a versatile actor, who chooses challenging and diverse roles, and this is his year. It seems there wasn’t been a movie released in late 2004 that he hasn’t been a part of, nor does it seem there exists a magazine that he has not graced the cover of; but we have yet to grow tired of him. Women want to date him and men want to be is friend. He has a combination of universal appeal, talent, and a certain je ne sais quoi that render him ubercool. Whether it be in his real-life role as a devoted father, or in one of his six current movie roles ranging from cocky womanizer to narrator of a children’s film; Jude Law has effortlessly reached heights of coolness that most will never attain.
