I knew this interview was going to be fun – especially knowing just how crazy, and, um, hot, Juliette Lewis is. And fun we had – as we touched on, well, you’ll have to read it.

Did you know?
• On the road promoting debut album “You’re Speaking My Language”
• Juliette dropped out of high school just three weeks after starting
• Dated Brad Pitt
• Has stared in 46 movies

Juliette is one of the actresses who is truly multi talented and can actually perform musically as well as being an A-list actor. There are a ton of actors/actresses who try to start a band simply because they have a name – um, Bruce Willis – however, this chick is a true rocker girl, and for that I give her mad props.

The one bad side to the interview was that Juliette was about three hours late for it, but I guess that comes with being the stereotypical I don’t give a (bleep) rocker.

If you haven’t heard her stuff and you dig that crazy heavy female rocker lyrics and melodies, then check out some of her tunes. You can get a little glimpse on her Web site, or you could venture to the Metro for her concert. Rock on!

Hey you, what’s up? How you be?

I’m good. I’m good. I started all my interviews late cause we were on the bus and we were driving the bus to the hotel, but now I’m here.

It’s just a part of that crazy rock star lifestyle that you live.

Totally.

(Laughs) Oh, that’s awesome. You weren’t drinking were you? You didn’t have too much to, um, drink?

Drinking? What, last night?

You weren’t passed out, were you? That’s not why you were late to our interview, was it?

We were sleeping, but not when I was supposed to call. We’re not big drinkers.

If you were a drinker, that would make the rock star in you pop out even more.

I think being a rock star is about putting on a ferocious rock ‘n roll show. Drinking and all that other (bleep) is just a cliché and I think it’s boring.

That’s awesome. That’s what I like about you. You can have an opinion and not go with all the stereotypes about rockers.

Hey, thanks.

I dig you guys and that’s why I am going to promote the (bleep) out of you and sell you a ton of albums in the Windy City.

Awesome. Yeah, Chicago is awesome. This show is exciting because we are opening for, why the (bleep) do I forget their names, um, Veruca Salt.

Oh sweet.

Yeah, and that should be cool.

Here’s an interesting question. When guys are in a rock band they can bring girls backstage and it’s crazy and they can go out there and pick any girl they want to come hang with them. Does it go both ways? Can you pick any guy and say you want to hook up with them?

(Laughs) Everyone in my band is just like music lovers and love writing songs and putting on a good show. And nobody is single in my band. They are all in love – including me. How old are you?

I’m 24.

(Laughs) Oh, OK.

You are not that much older than me.

Guess how old I am. Do you know?

You’re 30.

I’m 32.

Yeah, but you have the body of a 21-year-old.

That’s right. I look like I am 21. But, I put the band together right before I turned 30. Oh yeah, I mean, I suppose it depends on what your agenda is after a show. But, after the show we get on the bus. And what we are looking for is showers, if you want to know the truth. You’re talking about a Motley Crew mentality where you have lots of money and time.

A lot of the bands I am backstage with do live that mentality.

I guess it just depends on what appeals to you as a person because I know my guys here aren’t like that. I think that can just make you feel sad and lost.

I hear ya. You’re speaking my language.

(Laughs)

I had to throw that in there. (Laughs) Another plug for your album.

(Laughs) You can throw that in there anytime.

I heard your interview with Howard Stern. He was pushing the edge with you a little, wasn’t he?

Um, I don’t really think so.

No?

You should have been in the room. I think he was so respectful. I think he tried to do his bit, but he never seemed to get into it.

Right on.

Yeah, I think that “Natural Born Killers” movie really made guys, I don’t know, even Howard Stern a little scared of me.

That’s awesome though.

I’m not going to pull out a shotgun or something.

If you did pull out a shotgun, I bet you would sell a ton of albums.

(Laughs) I bet you are right (laughs).

So, I must say, I am a little disappointed that you are not single cause I would have, you know, gotten the opportunity to take you out in Chicago.

Well that’s sweet Nick. What was the last part of your sentence?

Oh, that I wish I could take you out in Chicago.

Well that’s very cute.

It’s been a big dream of mine.

OK (laughs), why don’t you come to the show and say hello and that will be fun.

Wow, that’s what I like to hear. Hey, my pickup lines aren’t that cheesy, are they?

No, they’re great.

I told it how it was. I’m getting to know you and then I just threw it out there.

Yeah, you seem really confident and that’s good. That’s always charming.

Aww. Thanks Juliette.
