The 22-year-old Canadian began as a child star on the series "Popular Mechanics for Kids" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

Cuthbert broke through as a star on the award-winning drama "24" in which she played the smart and attractive Kim Bauer, a government anti-terrorism agent, and daughter of agent Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland). In the role, Cuthbert has guts and brains. Her looks are the least of viewers' concerns.

But Cuthbert takes the lead and shows her beauty in "The Girl Next Door," where she plays a former porn movie actress trying to clean up her life. Cuthbert also plays the cute little hook-up of Will Ferrell in "Old School," and as Carol-Anne in "Love, Actually."

The blond beauty also was discovered by FHM and Maxim magazines and promptly given photo spreads.

In theaters now, Cuthbert stars with Paris Hilton in the horror film "House of Wax," and a more serious role is coming in "Dot," which she is also helping produce.

Cuthbert is definitely on her way up the Hollywood ladder. She gives an air of intelligence and wit in her acting, while leaving ego behind. With a few good choices, look for her to hit the A-list sometime soon.
