Most diners, primarily of ages 21-40, are dressed business-casual, with a few in jeans and a T-shirt. A bar is set aside for those who want to smoke, but its patrons remain generally well-dressed.

Outside, a pond serves as a buffer to the congested Route 53, which Maggiano's faces. A patio area is also open during warm weather in the front. To the side is the attached Corner Bakery, as well as the retro Streets of Woodfield, with attractions like GameWorks, a movie theater, and plenty of other fine dining.

Upstairs, Maggiano's has three main party rooms which can turn into six to accommodate small or large parties. The restaurant has hosted wedding receptions, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and corporate events.

Maggiano's starts diners off with bread and dipping oil on a plate. Appetizers run $3.95 to $12.95, and soups and salads $3.50 to $10.95.

Main dishes include Seafood, averaging $22.95, chicken, (half orders available on some dishes) ranging from $12.95 to $16.95, and, of course pasta, ranging from $10.95 to $15.95. Pasta dishes also are available as half orders, from $7.95 to $12.95. Specialties include ravioli, manicotti and more.

Drinks include signature cocktails and martinis, and sides include potatoes and vegetables from $3.75 to $6.95. There's also a "Family Style Dining" option for $22.95.

Overall, Maggiano's is a clean, trendy and classy restaurant. While it has locations around the country and in other Chicago spots, the Schaumburg location stands out because of its beautiful retro-designed building and the literally hundreds of other food and entertainment destinations that surround it.
