It’s unclear what Beyonce did to earn the honor that was her takeover of the best song category at this year’s Oscars. Maybe she was the only singer out there who could stand the arduous eye-shadow application process, or maybe she’s just that cool.
The Destiny’s Child star has come into her curvaceous own as a solo act, and her acting skills have landed her roles such as the ever-cool '70s diva Foxxy Cleopatra in the Austin Powers series and a part in the upcoming Pink Panther movie. She’s not your ordinary pop diva, either: as the Britneys and Jessicas of the pop world pepper the tabloids and merchandise themselves into oblivion, Beyonce remains classy. Her name is unlikely to ever adorn a bottle of perfume, and that’s a good thing.
Whether sporting an afro and hot pants or a Versace gown, she’s got enviable style; and like the diva J.Lo before her, girl knows how to work a ghetto booty like no one’s business. Sexy, confident in her body, and cool – if they gave Academy Awards for coolness, Beyonce would giving her acceptance speech onstage instead of just singing on it. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
